thespiritofpoloniaandaustraliaABOUT US. Kosciuszko Heritage Inc. (formerly Fundacja Kulturalna Pulsu Polonii) was established in 2007 to promote Gen. T. Kosciuszko and Sir P.E. Strzelecki and preserve the Polish heritage in Australia. Our first historic event was organized  on top of Mt Kosciuszko. “Kosciuszko Music on Mt Kosciuszko” event was held  in February 2007, soon to be followed by the very first Kosciuszko festival in Jindabyne, a small town in the Snowy Mountains. In 2008 we were successful to have Mt Kosciuszko along with Australian Alps placed on the National Heritage List of Australia. Since 2008 we have been building our dialogue with Ngarigo people, traditional custodians of the Mt Kosciuszko region. With the friendly attitude of the Kosciuszko National Park Management we could invite Monaro Traditional Dancers  as well as Ngarigo elders to our festivals. They also invited us to their annual NAIDOC celebrations.

Apart from festivals we have been busy conducting research, organizing competitions and publishing CDs & books. Eventually we begun producing documentary films. We have 3 films in English to our credit: 1. Polish-Aboriginal Fraternity Flights over Mt Kosciuszko, 2. P.E. Strzelecki’s Humanitarian Deeds in Ireland, 3. Kosciuszko: Poland Will dance Again, dedicated to our Ngarigo friends.

We are proud to have received the Honorary Patronate of Stanislaw Karczewski the Speaker of the Senate.
